JEP2026 - Industrial Heritage: Voices - Faces - Traces

As part of the European Heritage Days and the theme “Heritage in Peril: Revive, Resist, Reinvent”, the CNCI, in partnership with several organisations, is offering a series of guided tours on 17 and 18 October 2026 at various sites of Luxembourg’s industrial heritage. You will be able to (re)discover several emblematic sites: – the Schungfabrik and the FERRUM Museum in Kayl-Tétange – the Textil Musee in Larochette – the Naturpark Öewersauer and the Drapery Museum in Esch-sur-Sûre – the “de Schmelzaarbechter” Steelmaking Museum – the National Museum of Luxembourg’s Iron Mines in Rumelange – the Stolzembourg copper mine Witnesses, volunteers and those committed to safeguarding these sites will share their memories, experiences and involvement in preserving, passing on or repurposing them. Through these visits and opportunities for discussion, the CNCI aims to highlight the voices, faces and traces of the safeguarding of industrial heritage, while emphasising the essential role of collective commitment in passing it on and reinventing it.
