This workshop will teach you 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 for learning how to scythe: correctly adjusting the blade and handles, the geometry of the cutting edge, blade maintenance, traditional peening on the small anvil, sharpening with a whetstone ... The workshop is organised by Nature Attitude and led by Mathieu Dohmen, who has become a true master 🏅of scything. He 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 🧳for the workshop, including protective gloves for sharpening the blades, for your safety. If you already have equipment, he also suggests bringing it along so that you can assess its potential; many old blades are good quality and can be restored.
