Gilding Workshop - European Heritage Days at neimënster

An ancestral technique inherited from Antiquity, gold leaf gilding is a craft that has been passed down and perfected over the centuries. During this workshop at neimënster, Sylvie Schied, who specialises in the conservation and restoration of paintings and gilded furniture, will introduce participants to the skills and techniques of this profession. Everyone will have the opportunity to try their hand at gilding by creating their own small “gilded” figurine, which they can take home at the end of the workshop.
