Visual Trace gives an insight into Luxembourg artists Irina Moons and Norma Márquez Orozco’s ongoing collaborative research project, which explores how places shape artistic perception and creative processes. During their residency at neimënster, they investigated the site’s layered history and cultural heritage through observation, walking, photography, drawing, conversations, and artistic experimentation. By approaching neimënster itself as the subject of their research, they explore how architecture, memory, and lived experience continue to influence artistic creation. Said residency built on research previously developed through workshops and exhibitions at the Instituto Allende in Mexico and represents the next stage of their shared investigation into the relationship between place and artistic practice.
