Äppel a Bieren

Show & Culture

Director Lukas Grevis (“D'Land am Schied”) presents his newly released film “Äppel a Bieren” at Ciné Scala in Diekirch, in his presence. Sofia, a reserved and bookish 18-year-old, is about to graduate from high school when her free-spirited sister Joan dies in a tragic accident. Wracked with guilt, Sofia decides to take the European adventure Joan had planned. With Joan’s backpack and itinerary, she drifts from city to city, encountering strangers and unfamiliar experiences in search of something she cannot yet name.
