Show & Culture

A young boy dreams of becoming famous and seeing his name in a theatre programme one day: Hans Christian Andersen. From poverty in his village to the salons of the great cities, his journey leads him to discover his voice as a writer. Inspired by Scandinavian folk songs and Andersen’s own memories, ANDERSE!N blurs the boundaries between fairy tale and reality in a musical story told in seven episodes. Strings, singing and melodies explore otherness, self-belief, imagination and the magic of art.
