Luxembourg, France, Belgium...
We scoured orchards, villages and fields to find you the best autumn outings 🍎🎃
Apples to bite into, pumpkins to carve and memories to bring home… Pull on your boots, we’re off on an adventure!

LUXEMBOURG 🇱🇺
HAHN FARM: THE PUMPKIN HUNT IS ON
The must-see event of autumn! 🎃 Hahn Farm is hosting a real squash festival with more than 200 varieties, edible or decorative, spread across nine hectares.
Every Sunday in October, come stroll among the small, giant and completely wacky ones to find the one that will make you happy (or become your next Jack-o’-lantern 😏).
And on November 7, it’s time for the big autumn sale: market, treats and pumpkin painting for the kids!
NATURE WORKSHOP: APPLE PICKING IN BETTEMBOURG
What a pleasure it is to pick your own apples, cheeks rosy from the fresh air and your crate overflowing! Head to the Altenhoven orchard in Bettembourg on Saturday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 🍏
A nature workshop organised by natur&ëmwelt to enjoy the great outdoors, pick apples and prepare enough to delight the whole family (compote, pie or crumble… Grandma’s recipes had better watch out!).
The apples that have fallen will be used to make apple juice, while you can pick your own to take home. Children can even press the apples and taste their juice on site. And at noon, a meal is provided for participants!
GIELT BAND: FRUIT TO PICK, GOOD DEEDS TO SOW
What if the best autumn bargain was right under your nose? 🍎
How about some anti-waste fruit picking? That’s the whole idea behind the “Gielt Band” initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture: allowing good fruit to end up in your basket rather than on the ground.
Fruit trees marked with a yellow ribbon are open to free picking for your personal consumption. Apples, pears, plums… nature has laid out an all-you-can-pick buffet! Spot the participating trees, grab your bag and get ready to make your best grandma-style recipes.
FRANCE 🇫🇷
From October 9 to 11, the Laquenexy Fruit Gardens, near Metz, celebrate autumn and the apple harvest. On the program: more than 70 exhibitors, local produce, crafts, plants, musical performances, talks, cooking master classes and wooden games for young and old.
And for families, a treasure hunt on the theme of the magic of autumn awaits you in the gardens. In short, three days to bite into autumn with gusto! 🍂
LESSY'TROUILLE: NOT EVEN SCARED OF PUMPKINS
In Lessy, autumn is celebrated with pumpkins, treats and, above all, plenty of solidarity! ❤️
On Saturday, October 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lessy Sociocultural Center, the Solidarité Pissila association is organizing the 11th edition of Lessy'Trouille, in support of humanitarian projects in Togo.
On the program: pumpkins grown by volunteers, homemade jams, fruit juices, African handicrafts, barbecue, soups, crêpes and pastries. Plenty to enjoy while doing a good deed!

CUEILLETTE DE PELTRE: APPLES, PUMPKINS AND SEASONAL VEGETABLES
What if you did your shopping directly in the fields? At Cueillette de Peltre, grab a wheelbarrow, take your secateurs and go harvest seasonal fruits, vegetables and flowers yourself.
Crisp apples, pumpkins, tomatoes, strawberries… the harvests change as the months go by. A lovely outing in the great outdoors, perfect for families, with animals, a picnic area and a shop to extend the experience 🛒
BELGIUM 🇧🇪
ALL ABOUT APPLES, AND PROUD OF IT!
In Rachecourt, we don’t do things by halves: when the apple takes center stage, the whole village seems to get in tune. Join us on Sunday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., for a fruity getaway to discover local delights and autumn treats.
And if you leave with your arms full of apples, don’t worry: it simply means you’ve perfectly understood the concept (the apple never falls far from the basket) 🧺
RACHECOURT JUS: YOUR APPLES ARE GOING TO GIVE JUICE
After celebrating the apple, let’s rediscover it in its most refreshing form: juice!
Rachecourt Jus puts fruit in the spotlight and makes us want to rediscover the pleasure of a good glass bursting with orchard flavours. We love the idea of extending the seasonal harvests in a different way, transforming apples into a drink to enjoy at breakfast, teatime or after a stroll through the fallen leaves.
In October, you can even bring the apples from your garden and have them pressed on site. And for those with a sweet tooth, more than 10 varieties of homemade juice are waiting to be discovered!
