Come take a tour of LUGA with us
A breath of fresh air among gardens, art installations, and peaceful corners where you can take a break. We went for a walk and, as usual... we're taking you with us! Get ready, because this time we're introducing you to LUGA (Luxembourg Urban Garden) - the exhibition that's making Luxembourg bloom 🌷

AN EXHIBITION THAT HAS BEEN BLOOMING SINCE MAY
Have you also noticed these large colorful wooden cubes stacked all over town in recent months? Well, it's none other than LUGA: this temporary, lively, and above all open-air exhibition that is popping up all over the city. From the Alzette Valley to the Édouard André Municipal Park, the Pétrusse Valley, Kirchberg, and even Ettelbruck in Nordstad.
Since May, Luxembourg has gone green and invites you to imagine the city of tomorrow, where nature and urban life coexist 🌷 Along the way? Urban gardens, art installations, picnic and reading areas, places to live and meet. In short, a delightful blend of art, nature, and relaxation.
And LUGA is not just an exhibition (oh no), it is also a platform for ideas: an open-air laboratory for thinking, testing, marveling, learning to garden in the city, or simply relaxing. And above all, there are tons of events (and we're hardly exaggerating) waiting for you every week!
This year's theme? Making the invisible visible. A whole program centered around this beautiful little world that we don't always see with the naked eye, yet which shapes our cities.
And since there's so much information, we owe you a quick recap:
📍5 sites to explore
🚶🏻16 km of trails (Luxembourg City and Nordstad)
🌼 More than 50 installations to discover
🎭 More than 1,000 events
🗓️ Until October 18 2025
Oh, and we almost forgot the most important part: it's FREE! With one exception, but we'll tell you about that in a moment!

BEHIND THE SCENES OF OUR WALK
You know us, we had to see it with our own eyes, so as soon as the sun came out, we grabbed our sunglasses, phones, and microphones (stay tuned, a video is coming soon) and walked the entire LUGA tour 🌈
But since there's SO much to see, we've put together a mini guide for you: a summary of our favorite installations and places you absolutely must stop at 🫶🏻
Even though the signage is well thought out (pretty flowers as landmarks on the ground, large information totems, and signs hanging from trees), we still recommend slipping a map into your pocket (or having it on your phone). Although, we agree, getting lost and letting yourself be surprised is also part of the charm of LUGA 🚏

FIRST STOP - ÉDOUARD ANDRÉ MUNICIPAL PARK
5 – The Amélie Rose Garden
If you want to see life through rose-colored glasses (literally), this is the ideal spot (and it's Léa's personal favorite). 🌸 The Amélie Rose Garden pays tribute to women with a farandole of roses named after women. A peaceful and meaningful place where you can discover the brand new Amalia Rose.
32 – La Serre Merveilleuse
A greenhouse that lives up to its name, where you can discover algae, mosses, and flowering plants, but in fluorescent version... A soothing and somewhat hypnotic space 😵💫
4 – L’Indiscret
Behind this large wooden structure lies a surprising place: a long corridor with a view of the sky. A nod to Mélusine and the idea of a well-kept secret. You can sit there and take the time to slow down. We saw this long corridor as the perfect place to parade (you might get a glimpse of it in the video) 🤭
30 – L'arbre littéraire
A stone's throw from the Pescatore Foundation, this wooden structure becomes a place dedicated to reading, napping, and chatting in the shade of a giant tree 📖
LUGA Culture Hub – Mikrokosmos
We absolutely loved this little corner where De Gudde Wëllen has set up shop. A tasty, locally sourced lunch, a lazy afternoon with a drink, or a concert at sunset... In short, the combination of relaxation and culture that we love ❤️🔥 And MOST IMPORTANTLY, you’ll get to taste the 2025 LUGA Cuvée Crémant Millésimé (yes, a sparkling wine made especially for the occasion)! To find out all the other places where you can taste or buy it, click super fast right here 🍾
Open Wednesday to Saturday from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm

SECOND STOP – ALZETTE VALLEY
26 – Triptych
Triptych is a place where you can both admire plants and fruit trees and have fun drawing (or doodling) on a big chalk wall. A small, discreet, and peaceful space that clearly makes you want to settle down there 🖍️
LUGA Lab | 25 – Grow Together Grow Green and 41 – A Head Like a Garden
The gentle splash of water, deck chairs, swings (we admit, we had a hard time leaving them)… If you’re looking for a spot to chill for an afternoon with your friends or just a good book, head over to Odendahl Park ⛱️
You can even leave with a plant under your arm to plant at home or in your neighborhood. A beautiful way to green the city, one little tree at a time 🌾

THIRD STOP – PÉTRUSSE VALLEY
Science Hub
With mini-golf, sunny loungers, blooming gardens, a snack corner, and a playground, the area around Science Hub in Pétrusse Valley is totally worth a visit 🛝 And honestly, the whole crew is super into it 😎
50 – LUGA Art Trail: A Painting for Insects #002
You can’t miss this one: a huge, super colorful installation that’s not just a treat for your eyes, but also a cozy refuge for butterflies and insects. Created by Henrik Håkansson 🦋
55 – The Lower World
Step into the Aquatunnel and get ready for a sound experience that’s as magical as it is surprising. Artist Susan Philipsz turned this usually locked underground passage into a public spot by playing with the tunnel’s natural acoustics. It almost sounds like it’s inhabited by sirens 🧜🏻♀️ Click here to check out our video!
Don’t forget to grab your ticket—this is the only paid spot at LUGA!
📅 Open every day from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm
🎫 12€ per person
