Friday, October 3 promises to be busy and majestic! The day will start at 10:00 AM with the abdication of His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri at the Grand Ducal Palace, followed at 11:00 AM by the swearing-in ceremony of His Royal Highness Grand Duke Guillaume at the Chamber of Deputies.

At 12:15 PM, the Grand-Ducal Family will appear on the palace balcony (grab your binoculars, it’s worth a look 👀), before the official welcome at the City Hall at 1:10 PM. A few minutes later, at 1:25 PM, the new Grand-Ducal couple will meet the public on Place Guillaume II.

At 1:50 PM, the Government will host a reception at the Cercle Cité, in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses, to welcome institutions and the diplomatic corps. To finish this royal day in style, a gala dinner at the Grand Ducal Palace will close out Friday from 7:00 PM ✨

On October 4, 2025, Luxembourg will celebrate the first major day of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Guillaume! A whole day dedicated to the inhabitants, their diversity, their talents, and the cultural richness of the country.

The day will begin in Grevenmacher, where the Grand Duke will meet volunteers, athletes, and professionals who make sports shine in Luxembourg 🏅

Next, head to Wiltz to celebrate diversity and togetherness, with a participatory video installation and an original musical show 🎶

In Steinfort, tribute will be paid to the healthcare staff and patients of the Intercommunal Hospital, a symbol of dedication and solidarity ❤️

Before reaching the capital, Dudelange will offer a choreographic show retracing the social and cultural transformations of the country 💃

The grand finale will take place in Luxembourg City around 8:00 PM on the Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Bridge, with Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie at the heart of an orchestral performance and a multicolored tram ballet. On the Glacis forecourt, a custom drone show and an exceptional concert will showcase the talents of Luxembourg’s vibrant music scene ✨

Three popular festivals will be held simultaneously in Wiltz, Luxembourg, and Dudelange, with cultural programs, local entertainment, and a public viewing of the Grand Duke's tour from noon to midnight 🎉
