Kickoff: a sports day that brings people together
First stop (and not the least important): Place d’Armes, which will come alive on April 25 for the “Special Needs” Sports and Action Day 🎽 On the agenda: activities, wheelchair obstacle courses, information booths, demonstrations with guide dogs… In short, fun and athletic activities to get moving, have fun, and better understand the daily lives of others.
And if you’re still in the mood to move, head to the Glacis for the 8th edition of Roll & Run on May 16, organized as part of the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg 🏁
No stressful stopwatches or performance goals. The course welcomes you on ONE and ONLY ONE condition: that you’re equipped with wheels. The following are therefore allowed: wheelchairs, racing chairs, Hoyt chairs, Joëlettes, strollers, skateboards, longboards, snakeboards, and scooters…
That’s quite a crowd enjoying themselves, at their own pace, in a friendly atmosphere where fun clearly takes precedence over competition 🦽🛴🛹

A dinner… without seeing your plate
Well, get ready for something a little… unsettling 🫨
Dinners in the Dark offer an experience that’s as surprising as it is enriching: savoring a full-course meal in total darkness, guided by people who are blind or visually impaired. Once you’re seated, you can’t rely on your eyes 🍽️ But even without your usual cues, your other senses will quickly take over, and you’ll rediscover textures, flavors, and sounds…
Where? When? How much? With whom? Well, right here:
April 28 – Odeon (Weimerskirch)
May 19 – Aka Cité (Downtown)
June 16 – Piri Piri (Kirchberg)
July 7 – Flow (Downtown)
September 29 – Porta Nova (Limpertsberg)
October 10 – Le Riad (Station District)
November 10 – La Locanda (Bonnevoie)
Price: €45 per menu (excluding drinks)
Want to give it a try? Just call +352 4796 4150 or send a quick email to [email protected] 📧

And a generous dose of culture, too
After sports and sensory experiences, it’s time for culture! Because yes, inclusion also means access to art 🎭
The Villa Vauban and the Lëtzebuerg City Museum are opening their doors on May 16 and 17 for Museum Days. A wonderful opportunity to experience the exhibitions in a new light, thanks to adapted tours and visits accessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired, and those with specific intellectual needs.
On June 5, the Inclusion Gala celebrates creativity in all its forms, with an evening filled with music, dance, and inspiring artistic performances. A magical moment where differences become a true source of richness 🥁🎫 🎹
A few other dates not to be missed
And because the program doesn’t stop there, here are a few more events to add to your calendar:
🇱🇺 June 20 – A guided city tour led by an LCTO guide and designed to make everyone feel welcome.
📖 August 1 – Stad liest, a family reading with Eugénie Anselin translated into sign language: a heartwarming moment to share with your family.
📚 October 20 – Literary Tuesdays, to savor literature in a friendly atmosphere open to all.
