What to do in Luxembourg this weekend? Top 6 events not to be missed
Every Thursday evening, it's the same story: what are we doing this weekend?

As usual, we've traversed the country from north to south to uncover the best events in Luxembourg this weekend and whisper the most beautiful outing ideas to you. In short: your weekend agenda in Luxembourg is all set 🥳

Thousands of little ducks ready to give it their all…🦆
For its 25th edition, the Duck Race returns on April 18, 2026 at neimënster with a truly festive open-air village: children's activities, DJ set, inflatable castle, gourmet stands, and good cheer on the program.
The concept is simple: for €5, you adopt a numbered duck that then races on the water in a totally unpredictable race (spoiler: strategy is useless and you probably won't see your champion again). And yet, everything is there: fun, shouts, and that absurd suspense we love 🐥
Behind the light-heartedness, there is also meaning: all the profits are donated to four associations working for the well-being of children in need ❤️
Organized by the Luxembourgish Round Table under the high patronage of the City of Luxembourg, the event is free and designed as a true moment of sharing with family or friends.
📍 neimënster, 28 Rue Münster, Grund Luxembourg - LU
📆 Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 12 PM (ducks start around 3 PM)
💰 Entry is free, and for €5, your duck embarks on an adventure…

A festival. 25 experiences. And only one rule: come with a curious stomach.
The GRIDX Food Festival, April 18th and 19th, invites you to dive into a true world of flavor, where every bite tells a story. Here, you're not just here to eat between stands: you're here to live gastronomy as a sensory adventure, amidst discoveries, encounters, and culinary surprises 😋
In the Food Hall, passionate chefs transform every plate into a signature moment (the kind where you roll your eyes heavenward and say "okay, this is serious"). Right next door, the street market highlights local artisans and producers, with products that breathe craftsmanship and passion.
And if you want to push the experience even further, the festival takes you on exclusive food & drink experiences: creative mixology, blind tastings, masterclasses, and taste explorations that awaken the taste buds (and sometimes memories).
Psst: There is a large parking area on site. You get 5 hours of free parking.
📍 GRIDX, Rue des Trois Cantons, Wickrange Reckange-sur-Mess - LU
📆 Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th, 2026 (12 PM-12 AM)

There are festivals that make the walls vibrate. And then there are those that make hearts vibrate.
The MooFest returns with a new edition driven by raw and generous energy, featuring Luxembourgish bands and international artists. Here, music is not just an excuse to raise your arms in the air: it is also an act of solidarity. For the festival continues its committed tradition by donating the entirety of the entrance proceeds and artist fees to the Thierry van Werveke Foundation, which supports artistic youth, music, and cultural diversity.
On stage, it's set to be intense with SUPERDRIVE, Fallen Lies, Weakonstruction, MooF, and Scarlet Anger, to say it's going to shake the ears and awaken emotions 🔥
And between two concerts, you might come across the Thierry Van Werveke Foundation, as well as the UBAKA association, committed to supporting children. The festival will also be a moment of memory and emotion with a tribute to several figures of the Luxembourgish artistic and musical scene who have passed away.
A festival where we dance, we listen, we remember… and above all, we support.

SPRING NIGHT IN BELVAL: WHEN INDUSTRY TURNS INTO A SHOW
On Saturday, April 18 starting at 6 PM, Fonds Belval invites you to experience a Spring Night: an evening where industrial heritage meets art, light, and a touch of magic. You won't just be visiting a site... you'll be rediscovering it.
With a headlamp on your head 🔦, you can climb up to the charging floor of the Blast Furnace, by elevator or stairs, and enjoy a spectacular view of the entire Belval site. On-site, guides will whisper to you the secrets of this steel giant, an impressive witness to Luxembourg's steel industry history.
All around you, the evening comes to life with a program as rich as it is magical: workshops for kids, guided tours of the City of Sciences, light shows with clowns, jugglers, and concerts 🌙✨
Curiosity, wonder, and a festive atmosphere, Belval transforms into an open-air cultural playground (a bit like history decided to throw a party).

IMAGINARY FESTIVAL: LUXCON 2026
The 13th edition of LuxCon returns to celebrate, like a great portal open to imagination, the realms of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Two days to willingly lose oneself in parallel worlds, meet passionate people with thousands of stories, and fall in love again with pop culture in all its forms ✨
Join us on April 18th and 19th at the Forum Geesseknäppchen, for a weekend where creation, encounters, and alternative universes take center stage (and frankly, we gladly let them).
This year, LuxCon also makes a strong choice: to honor creators, artists, writers, craftsmen, and cosplayers, by excluding AI-generated content from its exhibition and sales spaces. It's a way to remind us that behind every work, there are hands, time, sleepless nights... and most importantly, very real imagination.
But LuxCon is above all that: a great celebration of the community.
🎭 The cosplay contest makes its grand return!
Registrations are open for this new edition where costumes, performances, hours of glue, sewing, and existential doubts will finally be rewarded!
📍 Forum Geesseknäppchen, Boulevard Pierre Dupong, Hollerich - LU
📆 Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April 2026 (from 10 AM)
💰 Day pass: €5 / weekend pass: €9, free entry for children under 12

The PICelectroNIC returns to settle in Bonnevoie, like a small green bubble placed between two rushed weeks. Away from the concrete of the Rotondes, it returns with what we love the most: music, creativity, and moments to share with family 🌱
Sunday, April 19, 2026, we do not "come to attend a festival." We come to let ourselves be drawn in. The electro sounds slip into the grass, the musical performances float in the air, and little by little, everyone ends up moving (even those who said they would "just watch").
Around the stage, a little world opens up:
🎨 workshops to create, tinker, dream a little bigger
🎛️ sound and artistic installations like secret passages in the imagination
🌞 a chill & picnic atmosphere in the sun, where time finally slows down (and frankly, it's a relief)
The PICelectroNIC is the kind of rendezvous where children run between notes, and where adults are surprised to slow down a bit.
