10 km on foot, it wears out, it wears out...

Set off on a lovely 10.9 km loop near Beaufort, in the Echternach region. Rated moderately difficult, this trail will take you an average of 2 hours and 54 minutes to walk. A favorite with hiking, birdwatching, and running enthusiasts, you're likely to encounter a few fellow adventurers along the way. The best time to venture out? Between April and October, when nature is in full bloom. The trail starts at the majestic Beaufort Castle (with convenient parking right next door). Then head to the Saueruecht Nature Reserve, a little gem hidden among communal forests, babbling brooks, wildflowers... and even some mysterious rock formations (a secret cave as a bonus). The trail is sometimes a little rocky, but nothing insurmountable. And despite its popularity, the atmosphere remains peaceful.
