Luxembourg Philharmonia feat. Davide Alogna
The Luxembourg Philharmonia invites you to its autumn concert in Grevenmacher. The orchestra, composed of approximately 90 musicians, presents a varied program featuring composers from Eastern Europe.
The concert will begin with Aram Khachaturian's Violin Concerto (1940). The guest soloist is internationally renowned violinist Davide Alogna, renowned for his virtuoso performances.
After the intermission, the Luxembourg Philharmonia will transport the audience to the sound world of Central Asia with two works by Alexander Borodin:
In the Steppes of Central Asia (1882)
Polovtsian dances from the opera Prince Igor
These compositions are distinguished by their catchy melodies and strong rhythms, and are among Borodin's most famous works.
