Welcome to the PEKiP course! PEKiP stands for: Prague Parent-Child Program. This pedagogical approach, developed in the 1960s by psychologist Dr. Koch in Prague, focuses on the development and learning of babies during their first year of life, especially through movement.
PEKiP is designed for mothers and fathers with their babies starting from the 8th week until their first birthday. The groups typically consist of 6 to 8 babies and their parents, meeting weekly for a 90-minute session led by a certified PEKiP group leader. Sessions are held in a warm room where babies can move freely without clothes, promoting higher activity and comfort.
During meetings, parents learn various play and motor activity suggestions to repeat, supporting the physical, mental, linguistic, and social development of babies without accelerating their natural growth pace.
