Within the historic walls of the Ancien Cinéma Vianden, an ancient spectacle of light unfolds. The organization Nightwise presents images formed by light that has traveled for millennia, revealing the fundamental architecture of the cosmos. Their photographs capture the glowing birthplaces of new stars and the vast structures of distant galaxies, a profound beauty that hangs, largely unseen, above our heads. This cosmic spectacle is a fragile inheritance. This exhibition is designed to share the beauty of the night sky and raise awareness about the growing threat of light pollution, which endangers our view of the cosmos and the ecosystem around us. Through their Luxembourg-based organization, Nightwise, Adriano Anfuso and Loïc Hommel channel their mission to combine art, science, and education. They invite us to look up, question the light we cast, and reclaim the profound and rich darkness that holds our shared celestial heritage.
