In an unnamed land, Fadhila strives to protect her two sons from the looming war and the shadow of an absent father who left for Europe long ago. Alone, she struggles to feed and educate them, but the challenges are immense in the face of war and paternal void. Through this universal narrative about mothers' resilience, Burkinabe author Aristide Tarnagda delivers a poignant tribute. Staged with scenography evoking scorched earth, the text's troupe will be in residence at TNL in September.
