In an unnamed country, Fadhila tries to protect her two sons from the lurking war and the shadow of their father, who left long ago for "Europe." As a woman and mother, she raises her two growing sons alone, fighting to feed and educate them. Yet, the war's calls and their father's absence weigh heavily. The land, wounded and pillaged, symbolizes the struggles. Reflecting the deteriorated state of his own country, Burkina Faso, Aristide Tarnagda presents a universal fresco of bravery and resistance. On a stage resembling scorched earth, four actors bring this powerful tribute to life.
