Guided tours of the "animalECH" exhibition
How do you respond to non-human animals in your environment? Do you admire the intricate webs of a spider, or do you feel uneasy? Are you fascinated by city pigeons, or do they annoy you? What emotions do introduced species, animal testing, or the consumption of animal products evoke in you?
Our personal relationship with animals changes throughout life, shaped by individual experience, societal developments, and scientific knowledge. The temporary exhibition "animalECH" at the National Museum of Natural History invites you to explore these questions, think critically about your thoughts and feelings, and reflect on ethical and moral perspectives.
Curator of the exhibition: Patrick Michaely, director of the museum since 2022, after leading the communications department since 1996.
