Every Wednesday, join the KnowEdge community to learn house dance and discover your dancing potential! Open Floor: House Dance is a dance jam where you can practice freely to house music. It is a safe space where amateurs and professionals come together and share a friendly moment, sometimes with a DJ. House dance is a social dance performed to house music that mixes salsa, capoeira, tap dance, bboying, and more. It emerged in the 1970s and 1980s in Chicago and New York clubs. The house dance practiced here is improvised and focuses on fast and complex steps, bouncing moves, and floorwork.
