Afro-Fusion Dance class [All Levels] with Tebby W.T. Ramasike
Course description:
Afro-expressive dance, as known in Europe, is inspired by traditional African dances. Its powerful movements symbolize everyday gestures and have long served as a genuine means of communication. In Africa, it is said that dance is more important than speech; it is a way to express oneself, to exist, and to affirm one’s identity.
Danced barefoot and rooted to the ground, it engages the entire body to the rhythm of the djembe and other percussion instruments. You will learn technique, rhythmic combinations, jumps, energy, and flexibility. Thanks to the collective energy of the group, you will experience a true moment of release, bringing joy and easing tension.
