The first evening of a new series dedicated to alumni of the Esch Conservatory, this concert will highlight two promising string duos: Duo Encordé and Duo Samare.
Formed in Amsterdam by Michele Reali and Eva Victoria Schockmel, Duo Encordé is inspired by the idea of “tying together” to symbolize unity and trust. Their chemistry shines through a repertoire ranging from the impressionism of Castelnuovo-Tedesco to the romantic elegance of Mendelssohn, and the Spanish charm of Rodrigo. Curious and committed, they also perform their own arrangements of Debussy, de Falla, and Ravel. Regular performers in Amsterdam, they recently received 3rd prize at the Martinez Guitar Duo Competition.
Founded in 2018 at IMEP, Duo Samare brings together Valentine Oster and Nathan Nepper for a sensitive alliance between cello and guitar. Their dynamic and spirited playing makes an eclectic repertoire travel across Belgium and France.
