Karli, 12 years old, moves with his family to the Alps, where his parents finally fulfill their dream of opening their own hotel. While helping his father with the renovations, Karli discovers he can travel through time using an old service elevator... and finds himself in 1938! He meets Hannah, with whom he embarks on many adventures and who opens his eyes to a terrible part of history. Borrowing from detective movies, The Secret Floor follows the adventures of a trio of children caught in the rise of Nazism and bound by an unbreakable friendship across eras. Well-documented and thrilling, the film serves an essential duty of remembrance.
