Disappear, transform, walk on walls, fly… These extraordinary phenomena have fascinated cinema since its origins in 1895! The magician Georges Méliès was one of the first to understand the magical potential of this new medium. By making nearly 600 films combining theatre, illusion, and technical invention, he became a true pioneer of special effects.
This workshop invites participants to travel back in time, discovering the first cinematic special effects and experimenting, like Georges Méliès, with the magic of editing and staging by creating a short trick sequence. The finished film is then sent to participants.
Good to know
Workshop for children aged 6 and up. The final film is edited by the instructor and sent to the participants.
