Disappear, transform, walk on walls, fly... These extraordinary phenomena have fascinated cinema since its birth in 1895! The illusionist Georges Méliès was one of the first to understand all the magical potential of this new medium. By making nearly 600 films that combined theatre, illusion, and technical invention, he became the true pioneer of special effects. This workshop invites participants to travel back in time to discover the first tricks in the history of cinema and to experiment, like Georges Méliès, with the magic of editing and staging by creating a short trick sequence. The final film, edited by the instructor, is then sent to participants.
