Life rarely goes as planned. Two friends, in their early forties, are bound by a bi-weekly ritual of wine, words, and small everyday lies. Everything goes according to plan until one of them announces a dramatic change: she wants to die. Quietly, consciously, on the couch. Simply breathing her last breath.
The other reacts with a mix of shock, reason, and friendship. But in the face of such composure, no advice seems appropriate, so she joins in—as the ultimate proof of loyalty.
What follows is an offbeat comedy full of misunderstandings, loss of control, and a great zest for life. Planning death in every detail gives life the chance to intervene. In the end, the question isn't who dies, but who is really playing which part. And when you think life is over, it's often just beginning.
