Michel Legrand left his mark on music across five genres: classical, jazz, film scores, songs and musicals. Pierre Boussaguet conceived this show as a comprehensive exploration of Legrand's musical universe, alternating between melodies, songs performed by Natalie Dessay, and instrumental pieces.
Natalie Dessay, an opera superstar, performs bel canto and lyric heroines (La traviata, Lucia di Lammermoor, La Fille du régiment, La sonnambula, Die Zauberflöte, Manon, Juliette, Hamlet, Giulio Cesare). She first gained fame with coloratura roles such as Offenbach's Olympia, Mozart's Queen of the Night, and Strauss's Zerbinetta.
In 2020, with Pierre Boussaguet's quartet, longtime bassist of Michel Legrand, Natalie created "Legrand Enchanteur", a tribute show to the composer. Pierre Boussaguet, a jazz musician, double bassist, and arranger, has worked with artists like Diana Krall, Lalo Schifrin, and Michel Legrand.
