The HU are a musical phenomenon formed in 2016 in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. The quartet are the pioneers of the genre Hunnu Rock, with nearly 900 million global streams. Their 2019 debut album The Gereg put them on the international map: they were the first group to receive the prestigious Chinggis Khaan Order in Mongolia, and contributed to the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order soundtrack. In 2021, they were featured on The Metallica Blacklist album with a cover of ‘Through The Never’. Their second album, Rumble Of Thunder (2022), brought them to major world stages, including Glastonbury Festival and North American arenas supporting Iron Maiden. Their lyrics are entirely in Mongolian, with the aim of promoting Mongolian language and culture. The HU are currently preparing their third album, set for release in 2026, and will soon tour Europe, performing at festivals such as Hellfest, Graspop Metal Meeting, and Roskilde.
