Formed in 1994 in Säffle, Sweden, Draconian is one of the defining names in gothic doom metal, known for heavy riffs, melodic atmospheres, and a mix of harsh and clean vocals. The addition of Lisa Johansson's vocals in 2002 marked a turning point, bringing the band international recognition. Saturnus, Denmark's death/doom powerhouse founded in Copenhagen in 1993, has spent more than thirty years crafting deeply emotional, heavy music marked by brooding riffs, majestic melodies, and a blend of harsh and clean vocals with introspective themes. Ann My Guard, led by singer-songwriter Eszter Anna Baumann, will release her semi-acoustic album "She of the Sea and Stars" in March 2025, reimagining the band's metal repertoire in a darkwave, gothic rock, and dark pop sound.
