Chair de ma chair (Camille de Bonhome)
The Théâtre du Centaure presents "Chair de ma chair," the first creation within the IMPAKT Project, written and designed by Camille de Bonhome in collaboration with Anne Brionne.
After a long tour, an actress is about to take on her final major role: a midwife, witness to the mysteries of birth since the Middle Ages. On stage, she undergoes a mysterious interrogation that shakes both her identity and that of her character. Through a double embodiment—actress and role under scrutiny—"Chair de ma chair" explores the stage as a place of guilt and raises questions about the difficulty of telling the story of childbirth.
The play continues an exploration of the actor’s figure and the issue of exposure, treating the actor as oscillating between intimacy and ostentation.
