Porn for the Blind tells the story of Eva, a young woman who falls in love with a blind man she meets briefly before he disappears. To find him, she gets a job at "Porn For The Blind," a company specializing in audio descriptions of pornographic films for visually impaired people. In this unexpected world, Eva explores how desire and eroticism are built without images, through sounds and imagination.
Blending biting humor, social criticism, and absurd poetry, the play constantly shifts between situational comedy and the underlying seriousness of its themes. It also subtly questions sight—or rather the absence of sight—in a world overloaded with images. Inspired by a true story, Victorien Robert offers a contemporary reflection on the overconsumption of images, digital voyeurism, and the longing for intense sensations. An unsettling and exhilarating experience for the audience.
