Show & CultureShow & CultureMoby Dick, a total masterpiece and a formidable adventure novel, tells the story of an obsession: Since a fierce sperm whale took Captain Ahab's leg, he pursues it relentlessly, driven by his hatred and fury. He brings with him sailors increasingly drawn into the whirlwind of this mad vengeance. In this captivating, humorous, and strangely wise tale, Melville asks humanity's great questions and creates a new myth: that of the white whale. The new production by the Les Vagabonds company takes you to the heart of the oceans, through raging storms, up to the final confrontation between man and the great white Leviathan. In the maelstrom of the human soul, between nightmare and reality, one touches on fears, hatred, quests, and hopes. Moby Dick is the symbol of all things.
