Reflecting in order to renew oneself To advance their art, Ludwig van Beethoven and Igor Stravinsky turned to themselves to explore new ideas. Beethoven gave a new face to the sonata with cello, expanding its musical language and opening up promising prospects for the genre. Stravinsky, on the other hand, drew inspiration from baroque forms, which he enriched with bold harmonies and rhythmic clarity.
