A musical investigation: The famous painter Pablo Pinceau has created a new masterpiece: the portrait of a mysterious stranger. All the high society is present for the official opening of the exhibition. Suddenly, the lights go out. When the lights come back on, the painting is gone, the window is broken, and the painter lies unconscious on the floor. Fortunately, a detective is among the guests and immediately begins the investigation. The scene is secured, fingerprints are taken, and no one is allowed to leave, because it soon becomes clear that the culprit must be one of those present. Was it the gallery owner? The waitress? Maybe the painter himself? The detective could have a motive, too.
