Eight exceptional Bulgarian singers take you with passionate power into the cosmos of Christian medieval liturgical chants and their mystical, impressive atmosphere. Under the direction of renowned opera singer Georgi Pandurov, the singers, dressed in traditional monk robes, embody this profound sound experience with great virtuosity. Rooted in the tradition of Orthodox church music and medieval Gregorian chant, the ensemble spans a repertoire from sacred songs of the Renaissance and Baroque to modern classics such as Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah", "The Sound of Silence" or "Amazing Grace". Powerful, energetic voices, moving choral harmonies and beautiful melodies combine for perfect a cappella artistry. The Middle Ages and the present unite in a unique concert experience.
