Show & CultureShow & CultureEl José has shared his passion for blues for over fifteen years. After three albums with Hibbie Blues in Saint-Étienne and several tours in southern France, he moved to eastern France in 2020 and founded The Bluebirds. During this period, he had the opportunity to tour and record a live album with Japanese bluesman Shun Kikuta, guitarist for Koko Taylor, Jr. Wells, and Buddy Guy, in France and Japan. El José has also had the privilege of playing with some of the best European and American blues artists, such as Toronzo Cannon, Lil' Ed, Terry Harmonica Bean, Kris Dollimore, Mister Tchang, Bart Ryan, and Carl Wyatt. Currently, El José and The Bluebirds are recording their debut album, aiming to capture the authentic Chicago-inspired sound by mixing blues with funk, soul, and a touch of rock 'n' roll.
