Inklusina - The City Reads
- workshop
- reading
- young audience
Inklu is new in the village. He thinks a lot and feels a strange tingling between anticipation and uncertainty. The day of the village festival is meant to be a new beginning, an opportunity to meet the other animals and become part of the community. But soon it becomes clear that not everything goes as planned; chaos ensues as everyone wants to help and contribute, resulting in confusion due to lack of coordination. Only when the animals take time to look into their backpacks do they discover something they hadn't noticed before. Will the festival still be able to take place? A story about cooperation, togetherness, and the joy that comes from discovering one’s own strengths. After the reading, children participate in a creative workshop where they design their own "strength backpack" and reflect on what they can do and what makes them strong. Inclusive topics such as cooperation, diversity, and community are discussed. The activity provides a positive setting for children to discover their strengths, build self-confidence, and experience being an important part of a community.
