- music
Joep Beving has been connected to the piano since childhood. After ending his formal music studies at the conservatory, he completed a degree in public policy and administration, yet his love for the piano endured. Inheriting his grandmother’s German piano in 2009, he shifted towards a gentler, more classical style. This transformation led to a collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon and the release of his successful album 'Prehension' in 2017, followed by 'Conatus' in 2018, with contributions from Suzanne Ciani, Collin Benders, and Andrea Belfi. His latest album, 'Liminal,' draws inspiration from Guillaume Logé’s "Wild Renaissance," and addresses uncertainty and transformation through a blend of solo piano and electronic sounds, guiding listeners on an immersive journey between contemporary composition and introspective sound poetry.
