Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean has invited the artist collective SUPERFLEX to develop a multi-phase project culminating in the creation of a permanent artwork for Park Dräi Eechelen. The artwork, designed following an initial participatory phase in summer 2026, aims to transform the park into a lively space and strengthen connections between the museum and its environment.
In the phase titled The Bank, the public – especially children and playful adults – are invited to deconstruct Mudam’s architecture and imagine their own 'bank' of ideas for the future of institutions. Using moulds designed by SUPERFLEX, participants can create clay pieces inspired by the museum, building their own models. These models will be displayed outdoors, gradually forming an evolving 'city of banks.'
From this collective creation, SUPERFLEX will propose a permanent installation, serving as a gathering, exchange, play, and rest space, with participation and intergenerational dialogue at its core.
