Joep Beving has been at one with the piano from an early age. Although he had to end his studies at the conservatory to obtain a degree in public policy, his love for the piano never waned. After inheriting his grandmother's piano, his playing became gentler and shifted toward a classical vocabulary. His latest album "Liminal," inspired by Guillaume Logé’s book “Wild Renaissance,” was created in response to growing uncertainty and the breakdown of old systems. It consists of 15 solo piano pieces, intertwined with electronic elements, and explores a liminal space between contemporary compositions and introspective sound poetry. The album alternates between precise compositions and sections of organically evolving sound, inviting listeners to experience the music beyond divisions and to explore new resonance.
