Accustomed to immense successes, director Pierre Guillois presents a new show bursting with imagination and humor. In a countryside where pesticides are doing their work and pit bulls are decimating the flock, we follow a very, very disturbed farming family. Running the farm quickly becomes exhausting, especially when the father puts up fences with his backside bare, the mother chain-smokes at the back of her bed, and the son remains haunted by the ghost of his brother who committed suicide. While the humans go too far, the sheep laugh and philosophize. The audience experiences every emotion through situations that are sometimes bleak, immediately offset by liberating laughter. Both a rural drama and burlesque theater, Foutue Bergerie is a colorful comedy about our blunders, our flaws and our hopes.
