The prefix "post-" was widely used throughout the twentieth century in terms such as postimpressionism, poststructuralism, postmodernism, postcolonialism, etc. The affix "post-" invites us to analyze what has been achieved in the past to reflect on possible continuities or breaks in the future. These reflections may take on a critical dimension—as in the case of postcolonialism—or, conversely, propose an evolution. For example, post-rock does not reject rock: it represents a transformation, a reinvention, a reinterpretation of previously established codes. Thus, this event at Casino Luxembourg, entitled Post-, provides an opportunity to reflect on what has taken place within Casino Display, the research and residency space of Casino Luxembourg. This reflection revolves around two main axes: on one hand, Post-Master, which addresses the challenges linked to the presentation and transmission of artistic research; on the other hand, what we call Post-Residencies, which explore how works and emerging ideas, realized in a residency context, continue to live and evolve thereafter. Post- seeks both to take stock of what has been and to consider what could be. The suffix "post-" therefore does not signify an end or accomplishment; it symbolizes a state of perpetual becoming.
