Double bassist Gautier Laurent invites singer Bertha Guadalupe Perez, originally from León, Mexico. Bertha started singing at the age of five, as well as playing the organ and piano. She began performing in concerts at the age of seven and won several prizes, including the national "Juguemos a cantar" contest. She later became a presenter on Mexican radio and television and a vocal teacher. Bertha performs with the "Trinitate Philarmonia" orchestra in Mexico and with the Opéra National de Lorraine. Gautier Laurent, double bassist, teacher and jazz department coordinator at the Nancy and Metz conservatories, has collaborated with many renowned jazz artists and played at numerous international festivals. Their music reflects great artistic affinity and musical complicity, exploring a varied repertoire rooted in Mexico, enhanced by the elegant, enchanting voice of Bertha Guadalupe Perez.
