Copying is often seen negatively as a lack of originality or personality. Yet, it is an innate and constant social act, from birth to death. We copy postures, language, style, and opinions. Far from being purely negative, this natural mechanism is the cement of our interactions. It enables learning, teaching, and connecting people, helping society evolve. "To Copy" is a show that brings a group of children aged 8 to 10 on stage, with no rehearsal or prior preparation. Alongside the contemporary circus company Animal Religion, they engage in a playful, moving, and eclectic performance where copying is the only guide. From a copy, an original is also born.
