Who says summer in Metz, says Mirabelle Festival! Whether it's the election of the Queen of the Mirabelle, the Grand Evening, or the nautical parade, these are among the highlights of this popular celebration, and without a doubt the final highlight is the most spectacular event: the Montgolfiades. Each year, hot air balloons take flight from the Plan d'eau to offer a magical aerial ballet over Metz and its surroundings. A poetic spectacle that amazes both children and adults alike. Organized with the contribution of the Association of Hot Air Balloon Pilots of Moselle, the Montgolfiades have become an unmissable event at the end of the summer. The best part of it all? The show is entirely free! All that’s left for you to do is to look up at the sky... and feast your eyes.
