Born from the combination of the dark forests of Börlange in Sweden and Amsterdam’s rusty urban decadence, Dödsrit offers a maelstrom of darkness and a wrenching cacophony. Started in 2017 as Christoffer Öster’s solo project, the album Spirit crusher was released in 2018. Following its release, three members joined to refine what had by then become a fully-fledged band. This significant change strengthened and established Dödsrit’s power, making live performances possible. Whether painting landscapes of frenzied riffs or immersing the listener beneath mournful wails, Dödsrit devotes itself entirely to its audience and to nature. Although rooted in black metal, the band’s sonic traits reach far beyond it, creating an emotional journey at every concert. The third album, "Mortal coil", perfectly embodies this step toward the abyss.
