Anne's mother has recently passed away and visitors have begun arriving at the family home. The last person Anne expected to see was François, her ex-husband, coming to pay his respects to his former mother-in-law, whom he didn't have much affection for. The timing and place are far from ideal, yet unfinished business will be settled in front of a piece of furniture usually reserved for remembrance.
