This show tells of one last attempt to fight loneliness. There stands a circus. A director, a woman director. On the brink of disappearance, on the verge of collapse. They are searching for a way out, a path to escape the deafening silence. The place is empty. The music has stopped. Loneliness hangs in the air, so strong that you almost want to cover your ears. And then… a quiet sound, a little melody. People arrive. With all their belongings. With a trampoline and a guitar. With stories and ideas. And this question: what if loneliness was not the end, but the beginning of something to share? This is the first "Cirque Nouveau" by MASKÉNADA, a show at the crossroads of circus, music, and performance, exploring loneliness and social connection in an ever more connected—yet increasingly individualistic—society.
