Lace up your hiking boots and discover the tri-border region between Luxembourg, France and Germany on a spectacular trek. Designed for passionate hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, the route follows the panoramic M3-Trail, crossing three countries in a single day. Along the way, you'll experience changing landscapes, local culture, and culinary delights. The hike starts at the Schengen Museum, featuring several culinary stops, including a three-course lunch in France. The journey ends aboard the Prinzessin Marie-Astrid Europa, the site of the historic signing of the Schengen Agreement, where you'll enjoy a glass of local wine to celebrate your accomplishment.
Good to know
Start between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. at the Schengen Museum with a briefing and a packed snack provided. 33 km hike on the M3 Trail, walk at your own pace. Arrival on the Prinzessin Marie-Astrid Europa, toast offered between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Dogs welcome on a leash. Route not suitable for strollers. Sturdy hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing recommended. Level required: very good fitness and endurance. Three culinary stops, including three-course lunch in France.
