“We loved each other / For the span of a song.” Met by chance, together onstage and off, Elise Nunes and Steve Richer borrowed their name from the mayfly, whose time is measured in a day, and for whom each instant is worth a lifetime. Their dream pop finds its shades and murmurs in French: weightless textures and vocals, suddenly scored with flares of rock, somewhere between Charlotte Gainsbourg, Portishead and Chelsea Wolfe. After Resilience, a debut EP honed over two years with producer Sacha Hanlet, the Luxembourg duo becomes a trio on stage, joined by drummer Tom Roilgen, for one ephemeral evening.
