An evening with multiple sound horizons, three facets of the same quest: emotion, experimentation, and intensity. GREG MALCOLM SOLO Playing multiple guitars simultaneously with his hands, feet, and various household objects, Greg Malcolm's solo performances are truly hypnotic experiences. His sound is an immersive and lush world of chimes, drones, vibrations, scraping, and deep noises. DE BRUIT ET DE FUREUR A lyrical concert for voice, (meta) cello, and electronics inspired by Faulkner, Shakespeare, and others. This project by Élise Dabrowski and Sébastien Béranger explores madness, fragmentation, and playful “sound schizophrenia.” Mixing singing, noise, instrumental sounds, and acousmatic material, they open up many associations and unveil new sound worlds. L'ORIOLE L'oriole blends the colors of violin and cello strings with a timbral mechanic made of transducers placed on sound objects. The resonance of the acoustic instruments through a variety of materials offers new possibilities for sound colors and textures. Both airy and raw, the music soars in extended contemplative flights.
